My brother in law, Hean-Son, has started his own salsa school up. He used to teach for the Tango Salon, but has decided to try it solo. Su and I decided to go and support him and started the beginners class yesterday at the Dance Workshop. All went OK
beginner classes are pretty slow for people with some dance experience, but it was good to try something different for a change – I just can’t wiggle at all! hahahaha.. and I’m not used to the beat/weight transfer differences compared to lindyhop – I’ll get there. At least we could carry over the mechanics behind lead/follow, frame, etc over. And it’s great to see him in teaching action, after seeing him just socially/babysitting/gaming/guitar-heroing..
