What is the deal with single socks? I did the “once a month” gathering and sorting of socks from our laundry today, and as usual, ended up with an amazing number of single socks!! Where do the other ones go? I think it must be like the lost pens… there is a secret mission for all socks to travel to their home planet.
Unexplainable number of single socks
I have a single sock that very closely resembles that stripped one with the blue heart. Perhaps the single socks travel through the washing machine vortex and rehome themselves?

Yeah, I’ve started to wear non matching socks but of the same colour – but there’s some purist/perfectionist part of me that feels like I’m cheating
The wierd thing is that both my daughters are really picky about this too. I wonder if it’s hereditary.
hmmmm…. i need to tell my mother in law that this phenomenon is also happening somewhere other than our home.
